Oklahoma State fundamental favorites

318 - OK State Drills - Coach Zeke Sena
Coach Zeke Brooks Sena, Oklahoma State Cowboys' Director of Scouting and Analytics, shared three excellent player development drills they work on in most practices. The first drill called "angles" is for post players to get reps on creating space and working angles for shots near the rim. The second drill is full court drill focusing on shooting, footwork and rebounding. Finally, their "step off series" is a group of team drills that fine tune players' ability to read a defense and find open shooters. Thanks Coach Zeke for the great narration and teaching throughout the video.
shooting Drills with intensity - Tim Springer

137 - Tim Springer 2 - 2025
True 2 Hoops welcomes back Coach Tim Springer, one of our favorite skills coaches who trains pro, college and high school athletes. In this short video, we got a taste of how Coach Springer works with pro players in helping them get ready for their seasons. He said that because of the time of year, he was focusing this workout on tuning up players' skills and not doing heavy reworking or teaching new moves. Watch how Coach Springer incorporates movement into his shooting drills which makes for better footwork and a higher level of success at game speed.

Oklahoma state head coach steve lutz endorses true 2 hoops
Oklahoma State Cowboys Head Basketball Coach Steve Lutz just sent a great video with his whole-hearted endorsement of True 2 Hoops and its mission. Coach Lutz is a rising college coaching star who has worked under Creighton’s Greg McDermott and Purdue’s Matt Painter (making him a member of both Eddie Sutton and Henry Iba’s legendary coaching tree), Lutz has gotten his own head coaching career off to a successful start with NCAA tournament appearances in each of his first three seasons.

“Coach Lutz is known as one of the hardest-working coaches in the business,” OSU Director of Athletics Chad Weiberg said. “He has worked at all levels of college basketball and has deep ties to this part of the country, especially Texas. The work he has put into his career has resulted in success as a head coach and why I believe he is the right person to be the leader of Cowboy Basketball.”

Welcome to the True 2 Hoops family, Coach Lutz! Thank you for your support!
Executive Director of the National High School Basketball Coaches Association supports true 2 hoops
True 2 Hoops received an endorsement of the platform this week from Dave Archer, the Executive Director of the National High School Basketball Coaches Association (NHSBCA). The NHSBCA is an alliance among State Basketball Coaches Associations that represents more than 75,000 coaches nationwide. Archer is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Basketball Coaches Association of New York.
"Dave and I recently had a great conversation about the current state of the game of basketball and its future," said True 2 Hoops Co-Founder Charlie Boggess. "He was very complimentary of the True 2 Hoops mission, the fact that we make it available for free, and the comprehensive nature of our teaching platform we've developed over the last five years. Dave said he will share the True 2 Hoops platform with some of his colleagues which will help us jump start one of our goals of growing outside the State of Texas."

'I have the honor of serving as the Executive Director of the National High School Basketball Coaches Association, Inc. and have been involved in the game of basketball and its coaches for over 50 years," Archer said. "And I have never come across such a comprehensive, solid program to teach so many aspects of the game in one location. The True 2 Hoops overarching goal is to improve the quality of the game and game experience through this one-of-a-kind training platform. We hope you join us on the journey."

Noteworthy Recommendations
True 2 Hoops is proud to have these recommendations from two of the country's finest high school basketball coaches. First is Coach Louis Wilson from Maryland. Then we have Coach David Peavy from Duncanville, Texas. Both coaches have won state championships and their teams were headed back to the finals until all seasons were postponed. Give a listen to these very knowledgable basketball coaches as they talk about how True 2 Hoops will help their teams.

“True 2 Hoops is definitely unique. I've been coaching basketball for more than 30 years and this is the best basketball teaching idea for coaches and players I've seen. I'm looking forward to providing defensive strategy for the True 2 Hoops subscribers. Bravo on the innovation."
Matt Brown - Assistant Coach, Ranger College
The thing I like most about True 2 Hoops is the holistic approach to teaching the game. The technical aspects, the fundamentals, thinking the game and properly caring for your body are just a few of the skills you can build on through the program. We stress injury prevention on all levels because we need our players to be healthy and on the court.
Roseann MartineZ
athletic director, HISD
When I saw True 2 Hoops for the first time, I was so impressed with the concept for teaching basketball that I purchased subscriptions for all of our high school coaches, middle school coaches and some elementary physical education teachers in the Harlandale School District. We are also extremely proud that the love of the game and the creative concept for True 2 Hoops come from the Boggess Family, one of the district's biggest supporters. Charles Boggess Sr. was a basketball coach at Harlandale High School before becoming superintendent for 13 years in his 40-plus year career at Harlandale. Charlie Boggess, San Antonio's all-time wins leader for boys high school basketball and TABC Hall of Fame member coached his first high school game at Harlandale High School. And, John Boggess, a McCollum High School alum, is a member of the Harlandale School District's Hall of Fame. The family still raises scholarship funds for graduating seniors each year. We are proud to be one of the first subscribers to True 2 Hoops.
